 Larrin ThomasDr. Larrin Thomas has a PhD in Metallurgical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. He is known for developing the stainless knife steel CPM-MagnaCut. He also operates the website KnifeSteelNerds.com, the YouTube channel Knife Steel Nerds, and is the author of the best selling book Knife Engineering: Steel, Heat Treating, and Geometry. He makes custom high performance kitchen knives for a living. Marco is a metallurgy enthusiast from the practical as from the theoretical side. He had his first self-designed steel grade made in 2018 and has been developing it ever since. Marco is located in Switzerland.
